Exchange Students

Për gati 10 vjet The “Independent” ka një bashkëpunim të ngushtë me shkollën private angleze Stanborough school, fillimisht në kuadër të aktivitetit Summer School dhe tani edhe asaj të Student International Exchange Program, ku 1-2 nxënësve më të mirë të Kolegjit tonë, të moshës 12-16 vjeç u jepet e drejta e një eksperince studimi 10 ditore në këte shkollë. Ky program i jep mundësi këtyre nxënësve që të takohen me moshatarë të tjerë nga 15 vende të ndryshme të botës me shkollat e të cilëve Stanborough School ka një partneritet të vazhdueshëm.

For over ten years Stanborough’s Student International Exchange has provided youth with the opportunity to meet students from more than 15 different countries. By experiencing a variety of cultures, students learn international understanding.

ELIGIBILITY

Students between the ages of 12 and 16 (one male and one female) are eligible for the Exchange. Students who are academically above average, articulate and demonstrate community leadership are ideal candidates. Students should also possess a willingness to try new things and a desire to learn the culture of the host country.

COSTS

The Student International Exchange is an inexpensive program. Parents or guardians are responsible for:

• Round-trip airfare to the host country and UK airport transfers

• Health and accident insurance

• All travel documents, including passports and visas

• Clothing, spending money and excursion costs of £150

Room, board, tuition and airport transfers in England will be provided at no cost by Stanborough School.

STANBOROUGH SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES

Stanborough School will take responsibility to ensure students are in a safe environment. We will exercise general parental supervision and involve students in daily household chores and activities. Students will have an itinerary of academics and extracurricular activities to integrate them into Stanborough School. The curriculum will be appropriate to the student’s year of study.

PARTNER SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES

The International Exchange is a non reciprocal arrangement. Students from partner schools will make a presentation about life at home and offer inexpensive souvenirs from their school or country to other participants of the International Exchange.

AIMS OF THE STUDENT INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE

• Exposes students to the British system of education.

• Introduces students to over 15 different cultures.

• Provides students the opportunity to make new friendships.

• Increases students’ self-confidence and self-reliance

EXCURSIONS DURING THE EXCHANGE

British Museum, Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Punting in Oxford or Cambridge, bowling, shopping and a day out at an Amusement Park.
